읽씹 (ilkssip) — Being left on read.

What 읽씹 means
When a message shows as read but no answer arrives, people may say 읽씹 당했어. The blunt term blends 읽다 and 씹다. The situation and tone help determine how natural the expression sounds.
A short conversation
A: 답장 왔어?
B: 아니, 읽씹당했어.
A: Did they reply?
B: No, they left me on read.
Use it with care
A read receipt is not proof of intentional rejection. Someone might be busy, overwhelmed, or planning to answer later.
A neutral or polite alternative: 읽었는데 아직 답장이 없어요. — They read it but have not replied yet.
Try it yourself
Can a read receipt prove the other person dislikes you?
Answer: No. It only shows the message was opened. Read the Korean exchange aloud, then replace one detail with something from your own life.
