과몰입 (gwamolip) — Getting very deeply invested.

Say this after becoming emotionally absorbed in a character, a game, or someone else’s story. The situation and tone help determine how natural the expression sounds.
A short conversation
A: 아직도 결말 생각해?
B: 응, 나 너무 과몰입했나 봐.
A: Still thinking about the ending?
B: I think I got too invested.
Use it with care
Often playful, but can sound dismissive if you use it to belittle someone else’s real feelings. Avoid treating it as a diagnosis.
A neutral or polite alternative: 그 이야기에 많이 몰입했어요. — I became deeply engaged in the story.

Answer: No. Friends often use it lightly about entertainment. Read the Korean exchange aloud, then replace one detail with something from your own life.
