Repeat in manageable chunks
Choose one line that feels too long. Break it into two or three meaningful groups, using the pauses you hear as a guide.
Try it step by step
Listen to the first group, pause, and repeat it. Add the next group, then say both together. Continue until you can say the whole line at a comfortable speed.
Check your progress
Play the original line again. Check that your pauses help the meaning instead of breaking inside a word. Keep a list of two chunks you can now say without looking.
Build one sentence from meaningful groups
The following is an original practice example for the skill above. It is separate from the chapter recordings and is not a transcript.
Use 저는 / 도서관에서 / 한국어를 공부해요: “I study Korean at the library.” The slashes are practice guides, not Korean punctuation. Each group adds useful information: who, where, and what activity. Read the groups separately, then join them with smaller pauses.
Try the example yourself
Put these groups in a natural order: ① 공부해요 / 저는 / 집에서. ② 커피를 마셔요 / 카페에서 / 저는.
Model answers and why they work
One natural answer is ① 저는 집에서 공부해요. (I study at home.) ② 저는 카페에서 커피를 마셔요. (I drink coffee at a café.) Other word orders may be possible with a suitable context; these are straightforward beginner models.
Keep 에서 attached to the place word while speaking. Avoid a pause between 도서관 and 에서. Start with two groups if three are difficult, and use a familiar activity. The aim is to speak meaningful groups smoothly, not to remove every pause.
